What Does SAP Business One End of Support Mean for Your Business?

SAP upgrades are now expected to be performed every 18 to 24 months. The standard mainstream support for SAP’s 9.3 Business One version ended on June 20, 2020. The new 10.0 encountered the same decline in popularity this year. You must reinstall 10.0 after configuring workflows and customizations. If you don’t upgrade, you’ll need to switch to a new system every 18 to 24 months, assuming you don’t upgrade. By implementing NetSuite’s cloud ERP, you can eliminate all of these headaches and transform your business.

 

How will SAP Business One End Affect Your Company?

When support is terminated, you will no longer get any updates, patches, or bug fixes from the support staff. You must therefore resolve a variety of SAP problems on your own. The option of a version lock exists as well. Your other choice is to invest some money in a separate SAP expert who develops patches for Your Business. The final effect is that your total cost of ownership increases, which has an impact on your IT budget.

  • If mainstream maintenance is discontinued, SAP will not provide any system upgrades.

There are two things that set NetSuite apart.

  • Its upgrade model is outstanding.

For instance, NetSuite performs automatic system upgrades twice a year, ensuring the highest levels of performance and security for your company. The intriguing part is that the freshly updated version still has all of the customizations you made before the update. Version locks are no longer a concern with NetSuite.

Additionally, NetSuite gives you the option to purchase a separate sandbox account, which enables you to test and carry out business operations in a secure setting. Sandboxes are notably appropriate for businesses of all sizes and shield them from the hazards associated with coming live.

On NetSuite, customizations and configurations are simpler. Why? The system offers standard-based application configurations, a speedier user interface, and the ability to configure roles, reports, and processes.

 

Smoother Reporting and Analytics with NetSuite

NetSuite concentrates on a single database and data source. Using this strategy, you can identify a single source of truth and streamline your reporting procedures. From the summary of a transaction, you may easily construct bespoke reports. Furthermore, real-time data updates allow a comprehensive perspective of the business situation.

The core capabilities of NetSuite and SuiteAnalytics include numerous search ranges, industry-specific reports, and pre-configured dashboards.

Nevertheless, you can change stored searches to accommodate a user’s various roles on a given feature. Additionally, you may also establish access control and assign permissions depending on user roles, thanks to NetSuite’s user management system.

You need an additional software program called SAP Crystal Reports if you desire to perform customized reporting in SAP Business One (B1). This tool is an original feature that resembles Microsoft Visual Studio almost exactly. However, this product does not provide the same filtering options as NetSuite.

 

The Distinction between SAP B1 and NetSuite’s Native eCommerce and Powerful CRM

The main distinction is that NetSuite has a completely integrated design. Solutions like eCommerce, CRM, and other modules seamlessly integrate with NetSuite ERP, giving you the ability to scale your organization up or down.

A strong and effective eCommerce solution, NetSuite’s SuiteCommerce Advanced enables you to build web stores with a great visual appeal. Additionally, the solution easily integrates with your back-office technologies.

Campaign management features such as sponsored search integration, customer surveys, and upselling management are available to partners and sales teams through NetSuite’s CRM.

However, SAP Business One doesn’t offer an eCommerce solution. Additionally, its CRM lacks features included in NetSuite’s out-of-the-box CRM. You must therefore look for custom connectors through third parties like Salesforce, Shopify, and Magento as an SAP B1 customer. As a result, you must use more middleware and do IT maintenance.
